Start Losing Weight Again!

Have you been losing weight and then suddenly it just stopped? Then you have hit a weightloss plateau! If you're exercising, your body has gotten used to the specific type of exercise that you normally do, so you need to present it with new challenges. I have some suggestions to help you get past that nasty plateau.

1. Add weight-training to your exercise routine. If you have only been doing cardio (aerobic) exercise, then you need to either add a couple of days a week of a weight workout or switch out 2 days of your exercise routine to include weights.

2. Change your routine. Try doing some different activities. If you normally do 1 type of exercise, do something different. Here are some suggestions for alternative methods of exercise: swimming, biking, walking, running, skating or jumping rope. The possibilities are endless!

3. If you're not exercising, start exercising! Once you can get into a routine, you'll actually find that you look forward to it.

4. Try using intervals during your exercise routine. Here's what I mean: do whatever exercise you do at your normal pace for 5 minutes then for 1 minute do it faster. This challenges your body and you'll be amazed at the improvement you see in your level of fitness.

5. Take a look at your diet. Are you eating too many simple carbohydrates (i.e. cookies, cakes, white bread, white rice, etc)? Try eliminating some simple carbohydrates with foods that have more nutritional value (whole grains and lean protein).

I also recommend using The Apple Patch Diet. It has helped me lose 29 pounds. It's important not to rely on the patch alone, you actually need to change your lifestyle in order to see lasting results. But The Apple Patch Diet really will help you lose weight and get to the size you want to be.

Good luck losing weight and getting healthy!
