Allergies and Asthma, and Post Nasal Drip

Causes and Prevention
Seasonal allergies affect many people, but for some the condition is life threatening. Allergies and asthma are a significant public health problem around the world and more people are acquiring these illnesses every day. While death does not usually occur in people with allergic rhinitis or asthma, these illnesses have significant impact on the quality of life.
Household allergens cause such symptoms as sneezing, itchy watery eyes, coughing, sinus headaches, difficulty breathing, post nasal drip, etc. Physicians prescribe oral medications such as Zyrtec, Claritin, and nasal sprays such as ASTELIN and Flonase. These medications are good at suppressing the symptoms of these allergies but they do not go to the root of the problem.
The best way to make real change in the quality of life for asthma and allergy sufferers is to get rid of the dirt, dust, dust mites, and mold spores in the home that are the basic cause of the problem. There are two ways to do this. First, a good air purification system that uses a HEPA medical grade infiltration system to remove even the tiniest invisible particles of pollen and other household allergens from the air. There are many good air purifiers but to get the best indoor air quality it is advised to use a HEPA medical grade infiltration system that meets industry standards such those produced by AUSTIN AIR or IQAir.
In addition to a good air purification system it is advisable to get a good vacuum cleaner that also utilizes the HEPA infiltration system. There are many types of vacuum cleaners available and cost is not always an indicator of value or quality. Some of the most costly vacuum cleaners are the least effective.
Another means of ridding your home of the dirt, dust, and mold that irritates your ALLERGIES and asthma is to get rid of all carpets and use wood or tile floors that are easily cleaned and do not trap these particles that are the major source of irritants to allergy and ASTHMA sufferers. The best way to get relief for your household allergies and asthma is to create a clean environment with few pollens and other air particles to which you are sensitive. Get the facts and be proactive in seeking a real solution that offers relief for your allergy and asthma problems!
