How to Improve my golf Swing
61
When I was done with this book (and after a couple weeks of practice) I actually went to the local golf course and showed my dad up, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE! The look on his face was worth every bit of it.
I gaurnetee that if you follow this guide, you WILL lower your handycap down, I myself was able to drop it by 8 strokes in the first week and a half of practice.
Though im always looking for ways to improve my golf swing, I have a feeling I'll never find a book that worked as good as this. If your the type of person that likes to win, or just likes to play golf, and you have EVER wondered "How to improve my golf swing" well this is for you.
How to Improve my Golf Swing
Have you ever come home after a day on the golf course and thought to yourself "hmm... how to improve my golf swing." Well if so, your just like me. I grew up in Houston, Texas. I'm 25 years old, and growing up, me and my father played golf together all the time. The only thing is, I was never able to beat him. I've tried multiple things, and over the course of learning, I've discovered a great book that tought me everything I needed to know, The Simple Swing, or as I call it, How to improve my golf swing.
This book was a great asset, I've read multiple things, tried my own ideas, and even hired a trainer on two seperate instances, yet i was never able to learn how to improve my golf swing until this book came in. This book explains both everything I've learned from other resources (and make it much easier to understand) along with teaching me things I never knew.
A few tips from what I learned:
This book tought me how to improve my golf swing in many, many ways, and just to give you an idea of what I learned, here are a few pointers:
- Many golfers let the left knee collapse toward the right on the backswing. This causes your shoulder to drop, and makes your hips sway and overturn. To fix this, imagine your left knee going out toward the target on the backswing. You should feel tension and stability in both knees. Can't quite get it? Try this: Imagine that you're holding a basketball between your knees. Give it a try, you'll be amazed!
- Don't swing too fast. I'm not saying you shouldn't swing with power and acceleration - but rather, that you need to maintain a rhythm. The best way to accomplish this is to imagine a slight pause at the top of your backswing before changing direction and beginning the downswing. Do this and you'll find your ball in the middle of the fairway more often!
- Here's a good image to keep in mind during your backswing: Think of placing your right hand in a "hitchhiker" position. This means that when the club is at waist height, you should be able to look back and see your thumb pointing to the sky. Here's another trick: Imagine that your hand is in a handshake position, with the palm facing neither up nor down. These simple thoughts will ensure the beginning of your swing is correct!
Keep in mind, these are just a very few amount of the things i learned, This book has everything you need, if it can teach me how to improve my golf swing, trust me, it can teach you.
