How to Install a Drinking Water Filter
How to install a dual-cartridge water filter
i). Mount the dispenser on top of the sink. In case there is no hol, you will have to drill another in the sink or the countertop.
ii). Tap into the existing water supply line through a saddle valve. In order to install a saddle valve, turn off the water supply and open the faucet to drain the line. Drill a small hole in the supply line. Turn the handle on the valve to expose the lance (designed to puncture the pipe), and position the valve over the pipe so that the lance fits perfectly in the hole. Now, attach the back plate of the valve and tighten the nuts to lock and then screw in the lance.
iii). Now, place the cartridge filtration unit between the water line and the dispenser. Leave some space between the system and the cabinet bottom to allow for cartridge replacement. Secure the device to the cabinet back or wall with screws.
iv). Now hook up the filter. Cut the plastic tubing to a length to reach between the saddle valve and the system. Press the tubing into the compression fitting and thread it onto the saddle valve and tighten with a wrench.
v). Insert the opposite end of the tubing into another compression fitting and thread it onto the inlet port of the filter. Tighten the nut.
vi). Now cut a piece of tubing to run from the outlet port of the filter system to the water dispenser. Insert the compression fittings on both ends and thread the nuts onto the dispenser and the system. Turn on the water supply and open the water dispenser. Let the water run for about 4-5 minutes to flush out any carbon particles or dirt.
How to install a Whole House Water Filter
i) Turn off the water at the main supply line and drain the cold water from the plumbing system.
ii) Locate an area in the main supply to install the filter. Choose a location in the line before the water enters your water heater and in a place that is easily accessible for changing filters.
iii) Use the template provided to cut the water line and make room for the filter in the system. Use a bucket for any water that may spill from the pipes.
iv) Install the adapter couplings in the inlet and outlet sides of the filter. Install the compression fittings supplied with the filter on the cut water lines and secure the fittings to the filter couplings. Make sure that the water is coming into the inlet of the filter.
iv) Secure the filter to the wall with the mount provided. Turn the main water supply back on and check for leaks.
How to install a Under-Sink Water Filter
i) Turn off the cold water to the sink at the shutoff valve and disconnect the supply line from the cold water tailpiece on the faucet and drain the water into a bucket.
ii) Install the adapters into the inlet and outlet on the filter. Attach the old supply line to the filter's inlet valve. Attach the outlet valve to the cold water tailpiece using the couplings and tubing provided with the filter.
iii) Secure the filter to the back of the cabinet with the mount and hardware in the kit. Turn the water back on at the shutoff valve and check for leaks.
Your drinking water filter is installed and is ready to be used. Drink safe and pure water. Be Healthy!
