How to Juggle 3 Balls

Step by Step Juggling Instructions
Learning to juggle three balls is both easy and fun. On top of that you will also increase your hand to eye coordination, at the same time you are doing something really entertaining.
With these three simple steps you will get your juggling balls in the air in no time!
First let's start off with one ball. I know it can feel silly practicing to juggle one ball, but I promise you will get started a lot faster.
Step 1
Your first step is to start throwing the ball from one hand to another. Try to draw a laying 8 in the air. When catching the ball slightly follow the balls motion down a few centimeters before throwing it again.
When the ball is moving in a continuously even flow from hand to hand and you can see the pattern of an eight clearly in front of you it's time to move on to the second step.
Step 2
It is now time to grabb your second ball. This is actually the most important step, get this right and you will be able to juggle 3 balls in just a few minutes.
Standing with one ball in each hand. Start by throwing one of the balls towards the other hand. When the ball reaches the highest point throw the second ball just underneath the first one, make the balls draw an "X" in the air.
Catch the first ball and then the second. Now you should be at the same point at where you started except that the balls have changed place.
Next time you practice this pattern start by throwing the ball in the other hand. If you threw with the right hand start with your left hand next time. This way you will practice both hands.
Repeat this step over and over again until you're getting a hang of it.
Tip
Practice your off-hand twice as much as the other. I know it's boring but you have to, other vice it will take twice as long time to master the art of juggling.
Keep in mind the things from step one. Try to make the balls form a laying 8.
Step 3
It's now time to grabb your third ball. Don't start panic! I will be here with you all the time.
Standing with 2 balls in one hand and 1 in the other. Start the exact same way as you did in step 2. Throw the first ball (from the hand with 2 balls within). When the first ball reaches the highest point throw the second one (from the hand starting off with 1 ball within) slightly under the first ball. When the second ball reaches the highest point throw the third one and catch the first. At the time the third ball reaches the highest point throw the first ball again and catch the second...
From here on you should be able to figure the rest out. Just continue on by throwing the next ball and the next ball and the next.
Tip
Do not forget the things mentioned in the previous steps and don't be afraid to go back and practice one of those.
Common Mistakes when learning how to juggle!
If you think your learning progress are going to slow check this list out to see if there is anything you should do or shouldn't do to improve your learning curve.
- Try to keep the balls moving in the laying 8 I talked about. Keeping that pattern while praktising one and two balls will make you juggle much smother when moving on to 3 balls!
- If you get stuck at a certain number of throws with three balls try to just throw the balls, ignore the catching part. Throw the balls and let them drop at the ground just to get one more throw and you will get past the problem.
- Avoid waiting too long before throwing the next ball. Waiting too long will have you end up with one ball in the air instead of two witch isn't the goal. This will also make your juggle pattern look less smooth.
- Throw the next ball when the last one is at its highest point, or as close to that as possible. Keeping this as your goal will help you avoid the common mistake mention in the last bulletin point and make it easier for you to juggle.
- If you find it hard to catch the balls go back to step one and practice with one ball. Your goal is to throw the ball TO your other hand not having to chase it. It can be quite hard in the beginning but I promise, you and your juggling balls will come along really good after a couple minutes.
- If you find yourself running forward after a couple of throws just practice in front of a wall and you will be able to stand your ground.
