There is no right or wrong way to kiss your girlfriend it's a matter of emotion and feelings. It will also depend on what you hope to achieve out of this kiss and what type of girl your girlfriend is.
If you think you're ready to kiss your girlfriend you must obviously know her enough by now to understand that this, for most couples this will be a memorable experience and will possibly help to cement a strong foundations in a relationship.
If you come on too strong, your girlfriend might get the wrong impression and become uncomfortable with the situation. It could also work the other way, you might not take the opportunity when it is handed to you which may give the impression that you are not interested. Choosing the right moment to move in for the kill is essential.
Girls have the natural ability to take everything the wrong way so it has to be perfect, any slight problem will result in the kiss being postponed or rushed and messed up.
Try talking to her about your relationship and what you hope to achieve with it, can you see yourself with me in 5 years? If she responds with positive comments then you can use your judgement to decide whether this is the right time to kiss her.
Try to make an effort with yourself by keeping clean and fresh, brush your teeth or chew some gum, set the right mood with music and candles but do not go over the top as it will look staged and she may feel a little pressured.
Starting with a gentle peck is a nice way to initiate this eternal bond and the rest comes natural, instinct will take over, just make sure you both enjoy it!
The worst thing you can do is think about it too much, doing so will result in failure or an embarrassing story to tell the kids so just relax it is a natural thing.

To be honest, what i think is best is to simply go for it. Assess your situation, what are the possible reactions to your actions? If they drastically outweigh what could come of the kiss then i would reconsider. In most cases you should just not try and think about it too much, the more you think, the more negative things you will end up thinking about which will increase the chance of something negative actually happening. If you let your instinct take over but staying cool as well, you wont have any problems.
This girl is your girlfriend because she likes you otherwise she wouldn't be your girlfriend. So this is a good enough reason for you to make a move itself.
If you have any close girl friends or even a sister, why not consult them? Woman areridiculously complicated and cause strees to men all over the world as we don't know what they want. Ask them what they would react like in your girlfriends situation.

P.s. Little tip - at the end of a good conversation if you catch her looking at you, simply turn and look her in the eyes and say with a subtle smile "what?" in a kind of 'I already know what your lookin at but i want you to tell me anyway' she will go all shy and then move in for the kill.
You make me smile . I suppose you are very young. Kissing is so spontenous that you do not have to be making any plans. as long asy ou like each other it will come naturally.
