I know that if not 100% than 99% of all women want to lose weight fast. I am one of them – I had to lose weight for my wedding. I had two weeks to get it done – on the first week I lost 13 pounds and 1o on the second. Losing weight that fast is not healthy I know that, but I did it anyway. However that’s how my weight loss journey started. After my wedding I started reading and researching natural and healthy ways to lose weight fast. In this article I will tell you what I did to lose 10 pounds in a week.
As I said before – losing weight fast is never healthy so you might still want to follow what I did but please allow yourself more time
1. The very first day was a day of detox. The reason is simple – I wanted to cleanse my body and lose weight faster. I prepared myself a so called detox drink of lemon juice, ginger and homey. I mixed it with water and drank the drink during the course of the day. Every time I felt hungry I drank it. It is interesting that I had neither lack of energy, nor cramps. Believe me it wasn’t hard at all. I didn’t feel the absence of food in any way. At the same time the drink boosted my weight loss results. I have heard that some people detox for a week for fast results but I felt like I couldn’t do that.
2. The second thing I did was to limit the amount of food. You remember that I wanted to lose weight fast, don’t you? My diet consisted of vegetables, lean meat, eggs, fish and fruits (I prefer apples and oranges). Every meal was as follows – half of the plate veggies, ¼ - either white meat or fish and the rest – fruit. In the long run eating less to lose weight is not always an option but I needed to lose the unwanted pounds fast. I have to warn you right here and right now – eating less food is hard and plenty of people would give up. No matter how hard it was for me I did it and I was able to loose weight fast.
3. At one point I decided to add two apples and a can of black beans to my diet. Beans were my main meal. Sometimes I used to split them two smaller meals with veggies on the side. This little trick worked wonders for me – 35 grams of fiber in a daily diet make you lose weight real fast. As an added benefit the fibers both clean the digestive tract and significantly improve digestion.
4. In the past I used to skip breakfast – not anymore. I started to eat breakfast and skipped eating after 7 pm – in the cases when I had dinner at all. As it turned out breakfast boosted my metabolism and I was able to burn calories faster. I also notices that the new habit kept me energized as well. In addition I had 10 + glasses of water a day and I still have even today because water cleanses the body and increases the metabolic rate. I also notices that water kept me full and I didn’t feel hunger.
5. Not only I started eating breakfast – I changed my eating habits completely. Instead of eating twice a day I started to eat five times a day while having smaller meals.
6. I reduced the fat, sweet and not so healthy foods in general. When I was craving something “forbidden” I moved that meal to the first part of the day. Since metabolism is higher in the morning I could eat my favorite donuts and ice cream every now and then.
7. I used to drink juice whenever I was thirsty. I gave it up when I decided that I had to lose 1- pounds in a week. Instead every time I felt thirsty I drank water or unsweetened green tea. You can also have a fresh fruit from time to time when you want to give yourself a break from liquids.
8. I have heard that when on diet people think about food. To avoid that, I kept myself busy all the time. This way I didn’t have time to go to the kitchen. It helped me a lot in losing weight fast and I think it would work wonders for you too.
I realize that there will be skeptics among you but I want to assure you that if you stick to the aforementioned “rules” you will be able to lose even more than 10 pounds in a week.
