Do you want to lose your back fat?
It is common for someone who is overweight to want to lose back fat. A majority of people might want to focus on losing gut fat, or maybe butt fat, but back fat is important to lose as well. Having a sexy and toned back is the desire of many men and women, and that is why they aim to lose back fat. Having a strong back is important to your posture, and it can help prevent back injuries from lifting and other activities. Here are some exercises that will help tone and strengthen your back, and ultimately help you lose back fat.
Back fat can be burned during push-ups. When done correctly, push-ups will not only help you burn back fat, but arm fat as well. To ensure that you do push-ups properly, make sure that you hold your body in a straight line, and that your arms are right under your shoulders as you lift yourself up. You should not lift or turn your head while you do this exercise. Push-ups should be done with your spine straight from your neck to your lower back. Your back should not arch at all.
You can strengthen your upper back with a shoulder blade squeeze. Sit up straight on a bench or a chair that does not have arms. Lean your head slightly forward so that your chin is tucked in, and keep your shoulders down. Squeeze your shoulder blades tightly, and keep your chest high. Remember not to arch your back while you do this. Hold the squeeze for a slow count of five, and go back to the starting position. Repeat this five to ten times. This will help you lose upper back fat.
Planks are designed to aid in abdominal fat loss, but they can also help you to strengthen your back. As with a push up, you should make sure that your spine is in a straight line. Bend your elbows and rest them on the ground right under your shoulders. Hold yourself up resting only on your toes and elbows, keeping your body straight. Contract your abdominal muscles. Your entire midsection will burn fat, including back fat.
When you are focusing on losing back fat, it is important to remember that you need to stretch your back, especially after strength training. A basic cat stretch is very good for increasing the flexibility of your back, and keeping it from tensing up. Position yourself on you hands and knees. Allow your back and stomach to sink towards the floor as far as you can go. Hold the position for a count of three, and go back to the starting position. Now curve your back in the opposite direction and hold it. Repeat these actions twice. This stretch is especially good for your lower back.
With these exercises and stretches, you will be able to strengthen your back and aid your back fat loss. Improving your strength and flexibility will also help your overall health. If you perform exercises that work other areas, it will also help you to lose body fat in other parts of your body. Aerobic exercises and strength training for other muscle groups can help you lose back fat. Your back is full of endurance muscles that you use all of the time. The more exercise you get, the stronger your back will be. The more you develop the muscles in your back, the more back fat you will lose. Remember that eating right should be a part of your fat loss program. Keep these healthy habits, and you will lose back fat in no time.
