Effective ways to lose thigh fat

Many women tend to store extra thigh fat. Excess thigh fat is a weight loss target for women, along with arm fat. While it is really not possible to simply lose fat from a single body part at a time, there are many exercises that can help women burn thigh fat and lose weight overall.

Running is a cardiovascular exercise and will help you burn thigh fat and leg fat. Running can be a fun activity to do with a friend or with music (using headphones). Not only will running help you lose thigh fat, but it can also help you to relieve stress and boost your mood. This is because exercising releases hormones that help you feel happier.

You can also lost thigh fat by bike riding. You can use an actual bike or you can use a stationary bike. If you lean forward while you ride your bike, you can also burn abdominal fat. To intensify the amount of thigh fat you burn, you can ride your bike standing up. It is good to do a cardiovascular exercise like bike riding for at least 30 minutes at a time. Remember to stretch out your muscles before and after.

The walking lunge is yet another exercise that you can use to burn thigh fat. Step forward so that the knee on your front leg bends at a ninety degree angle. The other knee, behind you, will lower towards the floor. Stand up from this position and take a large step forward in the same way with your other leg in front. Repeat this action several times. To intensify this work out, you can hold a weighted barbell across your shoulders while you lunge.

An exercise that you can use to burn thigh fat on the back of your legs is the standing leg curl. This exercise is also effective in burning buttocks fat. Standing with your feet hips width apart, and holding your balance, raise your right leg backwards so that your foot comes closer to your butt. You can repeat this action with the same leg several times and then switch. You may also alternate legs. A more advanced version of this exercise involves a weight machine at the gym that creates resistance.

In addition to performing these exercises regularly, you should also be aware of your eating habits if you want to lose thigh fat. The most effective way to eat when you are trying to lose thigh fat, or any other area of fat, is to plan 5 or six small meals. Eating a healthy balanced diet of lean proteins, whole grains, fruits and vegetables is a highly effective method of losing fat. Rather than eat three larger meals, break up your servings of the different food groups into little snacks throughout the day, and have smaller portions. This will also help you to curb hunger and keep your stomach from stretching due to overeating at meals.

Another dieting tip that can help you to lose thigh fat is to track the amount of fat that you intake. You should also monitor the type of fat that you are consuming. Choose lower fat varieties of dairy products and leaner protein sources such as chicken or fish. Cut back on added saturated fats (like mayonnaise, butter, and shortening) and eat less fried foods. Use olive oil or peanut oil, as these are better sources of monounsaturated fats. Flaxseed oil is also a good source of this healthy type of fat.

You will definitely lose your thigh fat if you do these exercises and eat properly. Don't give up!

Cut back on saturated fats. You should not avoid fat all together, as some fats are good for you. You should limit saturated fat, however. Eat smaller amounts of fatty meat and dairy products, and switch to lower fat varieties of the ones you normally eat. Bake instead of fry your foods to save fat calories. Use extra virgin olive oil to fry, if you do choose to fry, because they have more monounsaturated fats than shortenings and vegetable oil.

With the proper diet and the right amount and types of excises, you will lose the amount of fat that you want. Reducing your calorie intake and increasing your activity level will aid you tremendously in losing the extra fat and make you healthier overall. Remember that having some fat is important, and everything else should be eaten in moderation. Put these things into action and you will lose fat!
