How do you lose waist fat?

Many people have excess waist fat. You can lose waist fat, or any type of body fat with four simple steps. You will have to change what you eat, exercise, plan, and stay consistent. Here are some more details on these four steps that will help you to lose your waist fat. There's also a great diet called fatloss for idiots which has helped thousdands of people to lose waist fat, so you may be interested in that after reading this article.

Step one:

Adjust your diet. Review the government food pyramid and compare it to your diet. Are the proportions of the food groups in balance as they are set on the food pyramid? Make small changes to make sure that your diet is healthy and balanced. Pay attention to serving sizes. For example, a sandwich actually has two servings of bread, as each slice of bread is a serving. Eating nourishing foods that keep your body going will help you lose waist fat.

Step two:

Become more active. The more you move, the more calories you will burn. Here are some exercises that you can do to target waist fat:

Side bends. Stand with your feet slightly apart with your hands on your hips. Bend your knees slightly as you stretch your left arm above your head. Lean your body over to the right and continue to extend your left arm overhead. Come back to the starting position and repeat the action 5-10 times. Now do the same thing using your right arm, and bending towards the left. To intensify this exercise, wear wrist weights.

Oblique tilts. This exercise will also help you to lose some abdominal fat. Once again you will be in a standing position with your feet slightly apart. Bend your elbows and raise your hands to chest level. There should be a straight line from one elbow to the other across your chest. Holding your elbows in position, bend the top half of your body over to the right so that you pinch the side or your waist. Hold that position for three seconds, come back up, and repeat the action on the other side. Continue to do this, while alternating sides, until you feel fatigue.

Walking is also a great way to trim down waist fat, and leg fat. As I mentioned before, the more you move, the more calories you will burn. Take every opportunity you can to get some walking in. Remember to use your arms as much as you can while walking so that you can burn some arm fat as well.

Step three:

Modify your diet and exercise plan to accommodate weight changes. After you begin to lose weight, you might start to realize that you are losing weight at a slower pace than you did when you first began. This is because you have less body mass, and therefore require even less calories to maintain your weight. You may not have lost all of the waist fat you intended to lose, and wonder why you have not lost the rest of the weight. You may have to modify your diet plan even further, and intensify your exercise routine. Losing the very last five or ten pounds that you want to get rid of can be the most challenging part of losing weight.

Step four:

Stay consistent. This is the most important step. Whatever changes you decide to make, you have to stick to it or your won't lose the waist fat that you want to lose. This is where many people fail. Creating an exercise routine for yourself and making a habit of choosing healthier foods will set you in gear for success. Keep up with your positive habits, and you will lose the extra waist fat in no time.
