How to Lose Weight and Shed Those Pounds Fast

We've all been there... we've got a big event coming up and we want to drop those last five or ten pounds we've been hanging on to. Whether you're gearing up for your wedding, your sister's wedding, high school reunion, party where your ex will be, big cruise, prom, beach vacation, you name it, you'll want to look hot. When the event is in a week... what do you do?
Well, first, you take a good look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful just the way you are! The idea of having to lose a pound to better impress is just ridiculous. Drastically losing weight for this and losing weight for that can lead to yo-yo dieting, which all know leads to being even heavier in the end (each time you lose weight, you usually gain back more than you lost!).
Ok, ok, with all that feel-good-about-your-body stuff being said, how can you slim down quick? Here are few diets I found geared to dropping the flab quickly. Please note, I haven't tried these and recommend consulting a doctor before doing anything drastic... and remember, your health is number one, your looks are number two! Looking great doesn't do much for you if you're in the hospital!
The Sensible Diet: This is my favorite... combines good health and diet with exercise; all of the elements related to looking good.
Scarsdale Diet: Limited intake, but balanced.
Grapefruit Diet: Reduces insulin and regulates blood sugar.
Cabbage Soup Diet: "The Soup Diet is based on a fat-burning soup that contains negligible calories." Eat as much soup as you want. Careful not to faint on your big day... you might need to supplement with some protein.
Hollywood Diet: Lose weight from a bottle of goodness.

Good comment and recommendation.... However, most women have been there where they need to lose five pounds to fit into that dress in their closet. Sometimes a big event is the wake up call we need to check ourselves to see if we've been healthy and eating right.

I have to say I started out being pleasantly surprised by your hub. Yes, everyone has been there, wanting to lose the weight. Yes, everyone should feel good about themselves without having to worry about their weight being a factor. Yes, yo-yo dieting is not a good idea. I'm with you until that point, but then you go on to suggest diets that you haven't tried, you haven't done much research on, and some of which are completely unhealthy ways to lose weight. That's ridiculous! If there's an event that is coming up, and you know you want to lose weight, then plan ahead! Start 3 or 6 months in advance so you can make small changes to your diet and exercise program. Or, if you find yourself a week out, drink more water, work out more, but accept yourself! Go to your event and work it, enjoy yourself, and commit yourself to a healthier lifestyle afterwards. I can never commend an unhealthy diet program to lose weight fast.
