How to Make an Alabama Slammer Drink

An Alabama Slammer, also called an Alabama Shooter, is a shot drink. Alabama Shooters are one of the most popular shooter drinks, and for good reason. Alabama Slammers, or Alabama Shooters, taste like a delicious tropical drink or maybe sweet candy.

As you can see below, there are many optional ingredients that may be added to this popular shot drink. Even without any of the optional ingredients, this mixed drink tastes great. Just add or subtract the listed optional ingredients as you prefer. An Alabama Slammer is served in a pre-chilled old-fashioned glass filled with ice cubes.

Be responsible when drinking, especially when drinking shots. They taste great, but because they are drank so quickly, the effects of the alcohol won't show up right away. By the time you feel the effects, you've probably already drunk way too many.

Ingredients-

1/2 oz Southern Comfort

1/2 oz Amaretto almond flavored liqueur

1/2 oz Sloe Gin or vodka (optional)

Splash of lemon juice or orange juice

Splash of sweet and sour mix (optional)

Splash of grenadine (optional)

Pour each of the alcoholic ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Add the lemon or orange juice and optional grenadine and/or sweet and sour mix. Shake until very cold, about 20 seconds. Strain into an old fashioned glass.
