These sites post opportunities for bid for various projects. These can be for artists, photographers, programmers, designers, writers, accounting, other professional, etc. Pay will vary depending upon the projects and some might require a minimal membership fee.

If you are you a Web Designer, Graphic Designer, Programmer, Copywriter, Translator, Typist, Book-Keeper, Accountant, Consultant, Solutions Developer, then you should check out this site for freelance opportunities. They claim to not charge any fees or commissions.

AllFreelanceWork

This site provides many resources, including freelance job postings, chats, article submissions and more. I could not clearly tell whether there were any fees or commissions.

Elance

You can post a profile and search job opportunities in the following areas:

Web & Programming, Design & Multimedia, Writing & Translation, Administrative Support, Sales & Marketing, Finance & Mgt., Legal, Engineering & Mfg.

Freelance Work

This is another resource for freelancers, but it did not have an FAQ section. You may need to register to have access for further information.

Get a Freelancer

This site is for freelance computer programmers, web designers and copywriters. You can browse various projects that have been posted.

GoFreelance

You can search freelance jobs on this site. The site is a little unorganized so I couldn't find an FAQ section to get any information about fees or commissions.

Guru

You can search freelance projects from all business areas including web design, finance, marketing, etc.

HotGigs

You can submit your resume and search for various consulting opportunities in business areas, music and art, manufacturing and more.

iFreelance

You can post your profile and search for projects. This is a commission free service, but there is a membership fee of $4.69 to $9.00 per month. This actually doesn't seem so bad since I've seen other sites that take a 10%-15% commission from your earnings.

Rent a Coder

This is for freelance computer programmers. Registration is free, but there is a 15% commission on your profits.

ScriptLance

This is another site for computer programmers and web designers looking to bid on freelance work. Registration is free and they only charge a 5% commission on your earnings.

SoloGig

SoloGig has freelance projects posted in many different categories including Engineering and Aerospace, Creative & Design, Finance & Accounting, Law & Paralegal Opportunities, Clinical & Scientific, Sales & Marketing, Information Technology & Technical. They don't charge a commission and I didn't see anything about a membership fee.

Writerlance

Many writing or blogging assignments are posted for bid on this site. There is no signup fee and no monthly fee, but you are required to pay a commission on each project you win a bid on. The commission is 3% of your bid or $3.00, whichever is greater. You will also get a $1 signup bonus when you register.
