Pregnancy is one of the most exciting experiences in a woman's life but it can also be very stressful because of the desire for the baby to be healthy. For so many years there was no way to check to see if a baby was developing properly. But with recent advancements in the technology in the field of child birth, you can now listen to your baby's heartbeat with a device in your own home. In the past years the technology to listen to your baby's heart and even see your baby in the womb had been restricted to use in a hospital but now these machines have become more widely used and have become affordable for some people to buy for home use. There are lots of considerations that you should take into account when you are looking to purchase or rent a baby heart rate monitor. And for the rest of this article we will talk about the different aspects that you should take into account when you are researching which fetal heart monitor would be right for you.

Baby Heart Rate Monitors

The price of these machines varies from brand to brand and depending on the features, they can become very cost prohibitive. It really all depends on the kinds of features that you want to have at your disposal. Some of the baby heart monitors actually have ultrasound included so you can see your baby in the womb as well as hear their heartbeat. These are the higher end machines, but there are some other neat features like some of the baby heart monitors have the ability to record what they hear so you can upload the sound of your baby's heart to your computer or the internet so that your friends and family can share in your joy. The ultrasound image will vary depending on the manufacturer and it probably will not be as clear as the machines they have in the hospital but if you really want this feature, it is possible to have it in the comfort of your own home to use whenever you feel like it.

Obviously, the baby heart beat monitor with the least features will be less expensive, but you will have to search to find the best one for your situation. You can check to see if a specific machine is approved by the Federal Drug Administration, if you have any trust in what they have to say.

If you are considering an at home baby heart rate monitor then you should be aware of the option to rent. If you are not going to have more than one child then it does not make a whole lot of sense to purchase an expensive machine that you are only going to use for a couple months. So if you can not or do not want to pay for a baby heart monitor, there are companies out there that will rent them to you.
