So which is more important, to make happy the visitors or the search engine bots? The undeniable answer is to satisfy the visitors. What is the use of a good site that attracts only searchbots not actual people? And what is the use of a good site that only attracts some visitors but not search engine spiders.

In this piece of writing, we will go over writing content that lures and pleases both your readers and the searchbots.

How can I write content that pleases a visitor?

Firstly, stick to writing content that is related to your site. That means that if your site is about healthcare & fitness, you should not include any article about online dating, animal taming etc, as that does not makes sense and keep away visitors.

Secondly, write articles in an easy to understand, conversational layout. Do not use sturdy, fancy words just for the sake of looking smart or satisfying search engine bots. Nobody wish to ever come back to a site with content that is so hard to understand. Obviously, you don’t want to make first impression, on anyone who takes the time to visit your site, the last impression. So make sure your website contents easy to understand.

Thirdly, never ever write lengthy, dull, and boring articles. If the subject you are trying to get across can be said more quickly in 500 – 600 words, then why write extra words on about the topic? This is a vast way out to potential visitors.

Fourthly, content is king, it attracts genuine visitors and it must be grammatically correct. It is important to have grammatically correct and properly punctuated piece of writing for your site and you should excel in this section. I know, this is hard because we live in the SMS and IM world, where sentences like “how r u?” are thought to be good enough. Still, well-educated people will appreciate good grammar.

Fifthly, don’t excessively use keywords and keyword phrases in your content. I mean, don’t make it obvious to the readers that you are trying to tempt search engine spiders rather than visitors. Blend keywords and content so that they appear as a part of the article. Make sure that your keywords and keyword phrases flow into the content of the article. This thing is easier to say than doing, but can be achieved with a little fine tuning.

How do I please search engine spiders?

Actually it is easy to please search engine spiders; it is much easier than pleasing actual human beings. This is because search engine spiders aren’t subjective—they don’t worry what the subject matter is about; they just concern about the number keywords and keyword phrases.

The only way you can probably irritate a search engine spider is by using excessive keywords/keyword phrases. They put such sites in spam site lists. Search engine spiders are more sophisticated than ever before, and so they are better able to ignore sites that are full of spam. Too many keywords or keyword phrases that are deliberately there will hinder your site from being indexed and crawled by search engine spiders.

Keyword density of 1-3% is usually considered to be good. Any less than 1% is bad and will make it harder for your site to get listed on search engines; any more than 4% makes your site look like spam site. Keyword density is basically the number of keywords or keyword phrases in an article divided by the total number of words.

Before you write any article, take some time to prepare a short list of keywords that are relevant to the topic at hand. Then naturally pepper them into your content, so that your content will please both the search engine bots and your readers. If you are clever enough to do that, you will have a successful site in no time. Not only the search bots, but actual visitors will also love your site.

Writing content that satisfy both people and search engines is an absolute essential to making your site long lasting. So follow the above policy and you will be able to write admirable, pleasing content!
