Keep it a secret from anyone that she know, because women are very good at picking up clue's. You have to be normal and stay calm at all time. You don't want her to suspect what your up too.

Make hotel and dinner reservations for the both of you. When you have a date set in mind, make sure its on a day when she has absolutely nothing to do. You don't want to propose on a day when she have to go and come from home work. If both of you have a child or two, get a babysitter in advance.

Shop for a very nice gift for her, but not just any gift. Make sure it has either her favorite color or favorite symbols. The gift douse not have to be flashy, but something that would let her know that you paid attention to whatever is personal to her. Women care about what you noticed about them than anything els.

During the night of the resturant, let her finish her dinner before you propose. You don't want to do it too soon. She need to know that you put allot of time and effert into this night and it's because you love her. After she eat dinner, order dessert but make sure the waiter know to put the ring box (with the ring it i hope) on a platter by itself with a napkin over it. Make it appear to be a brownie cake when he brings it out. When she lift the napkin, she will be in a state of surprise, take the box and open but don't take the ring out yet. Get on your knee(forget about who is watching, crowds love this sort of thing) and tell your woman how you feel about her (keep it short and romantic) then propose. Believe me, if you do this right, she will thank you the for the rest of the night, and hopefully if your a good man to her, it will last forever.

Oh, by the way. Asking her parents for their blessings can not be over looked. Don't forget it. Its very important that you have their respect.
