  • Alternative treatment: You may also want to think a couple of alternative treatments as well. Cough medicine and decongestants (respiratory drug) could also help with respiratory congestion. Cough drops and gargling can aide a sore throat if this is the case. Consult your doctor about consuming recommendations drugs to cure your influenza. Such Amantidine, Rimantadine, Zanamivir, and Oseltamivir are some drugs that they possibly prescribe for you
  • Stay hydrated: Hydration is important in removing toxins from your body and will allow your system to perform its other processes as well. A fever usually will dehydrate your body, so drink plenty of liquids. Water is probably the main source, but sports drinks (I usualy take an Isotonic drink), fruit juices, and soup can be beneficial as well. You may not feel thirsty, but try to consume even small amounts of liquids on regular basis, as this also will aide your recovery.


P.S.: There are some circumstances that may require you to involve your doctor for your influenza illness. Yes, Generally, getting plenty of rest, fluids, vitamin c and just plain sweating can expel the virus from your body. But, If the infected person is an infant, elderly, or someone with a chronic health affliction like bronchitis, heart disease, or HIV, then medical attention is recommended . Because, People in these situations have weakened immune systems and may not be able to fight off the viral infection.
