I have 2 sons, 7 and 4 and both have PSP's. I thought I would save a few bucks (and unnecessary stress) buy purchasing them second hand from our local gaming store. But when all of a sudden the games stopped working in the game system, I began to worry that all the money we had spent on games would go to waste, until I started to do some research on Google.

At first I thought the problem was the game console. I mean we DID buy them used. All I needed to do was take the PSP's back and the store would give me a new one since they were still under warranty.

But it was confusing to me that certain games didn't work in either system. By chance I searched for "replacement psp cases" and came across a few sites that looked interesting, so I wondered, how hard could this be?

I found a website that offered a few colorful options for a reasonable price and decided to place an order. After a few days, my package arrived. I was a bit nervouse since the replacement PSP UMD cases didn't really come with any directions.

After a few minutes, I figured it out. I had to crack open the old PSP case and use my fingers to pry open the new case which snaps apart.

I dropped in the PSP disk with the disk side facing the little window and snapped the other side back on. It literally took me about 2-3 minutes and the new cases seem much more sturdy than the original ones manufactured by Sony.

By searching Google I was able to salvage over $200.00 worth games and in this tight economy that means a lot. The biggest benefit is that my kids were able to play with many games that weren't working before, so they were extra excited. Plus they love the bright orange color!
