Gasoline prices are ever rising. This can affect your tight budget to a great extent. Following are some of the tips to save on your fuel expenses.

Carpooling system

Carpooling is best suited for employees as well as students. When a group of people have a single destination then it is logical to travel together in one vehicle. You can take turns with your friends and co-workers in bringing your car and driving.

Traveling to work

Make use of public transportation to reach your work place. By this way you can get a break from the stress of everyday driving.

Compare prices of various gas stations

Check the prices offered by different gas stations in your locality. Even a small price variation can make a big difference if you are frequently refilling your car.

Take a walk

Taking a walk or taking your bike instead of driving has numerous benefits. Apart from saving fuel it provides a good physical exercise. You don’t need to struggle through heavy traffic or worry about getting a parking space. Thus it saves your time too.

Maintain your car well

An engine which is in a good working condition will consume minimum fuel. Hence maintenance of your vehicle is important. Before starting your ride always plan the routes you need to take instead of wasting fuel on randomly going to and fro. Minimize the usage of your air conditioning.

Check the tire pressure of your car regularly

You must check your tires regularly to ensure that each one of them has equal level of pressure in them. Also try not to drive too fast. This prevents unnecessary fuel consumption

Abovementioned measures will surely minimize your gas consumption. Gasoline is an exhaustible resource hence its conservation is a matter of greater importance.

it is easy to forget to check the tire pressure. I lug around stuff a lot so when I lighten thecar up by 50 or 100lbs it helps too.
