Avoid Paying Bills Late
Do not pay your bills late. Late fee penalties are like giving your hard earned money away. Paying your bills late also negatively affects your credit. If you are experiencing a financial difficulty, call your creditor and expain your situation. You may be able to work something out.
Little Ways to Save Real Big!
At some time in our lives we have all heard the phrase "all the little things add up." Well this statement sure does ring true when you stop to consider small purchases that many of us make everyday. One and two dollar purchases here and there really add up substantially over time.
Here Are Several Examples:
- The cup of coffee and doughnut on the way to work ($2 each day would be $10 per week or $520 a year);
- The snack and soda machine at the office (another $2 each day would be $10 more per week or $520 more a year);
- The convenience store pit-stop for that 44 oz guzzler and candy bar (again, another $2 each day would be $10 per week or $520 more a year).

Bring your own snacks to work.
- Popcorn is a very good snack for those that have access to microwaves at work. Bring a fruit (apple, orange or bannana), which is much healthier for you anyway than anything in a vending machine;
Carry Around a Spill-Proof Container for Water
- If you must have some type of flavor, purchase those "to go" flavorings to add in an instant.
What Does That Look Like on Paper?
If you bought all three of these items every work day and spent $2 on each (a very conservative estimate), that would add up to $1,560 each year.
What Kind Of Savings Would That Be?
If you placed that money ($130 per month) into a savings account for five years at 2% interest, you would have $8,118.30.

Very nice advice plus vices that we have cost us more than we realize. My former smoking habit cost me about $4 a day which translates to $1460 a year. Thank goodness I gave that up.

These are great tips. Eversince I stopped smoking, I started saving coins. I also stopped drinking coffee. Eating out is once-in-a-blue-moon occasion in my family because all of us love cooking. :D
