• Avoid Rush Hour Times- Usually around 7-9 am & 4-6 pm
• Work at Home- if possible (one or two days a week)
• Reduce the Weight of your Vehicle- more weight means more fuel used; remove excess cargo
• Don't Idle Your Vehicle - gets 0 mi/gallon & turn your car off for long periods of time
• Drive slower- driving speed limit saves more fuel than speeding
• Maintain around 55mph- when driving it maximizes the gas mileage
• Avoid Buying Heavy Vehicles- the heavy the Vehicle more gas wasted
• Keep windows up on Highways- reduces the drag force when traveling at high speeds
• Keep windows down on local roads- save gas by using no a/c at low speeds
• Never top off gas tank- it wastes gas
• Park in shade- gas evaporates quicker when heated
• Try to live close to work- it will save a lot of driving
• Run Errands all in 1 Trip- plan efficient to cut back driving
• Try to Carpool- if possible take turns driving each other to save gas for all of you

• Don't abuse your Brakes- Avoid brakes if you can, if need it be gentle when braking
• Try not to buy hot gas- will actually get less gas

It is simple supply and demand, if the demand is high the gas prices will increase like they are now but if the demand goes down so will the gas prices.
