This lens introduces SubHub's FREE ten part video course, which takes the viewer through all the important steps you should follow, when launching an internet business from scratch.
Business on the Internet is Booming!
Whatever internet statistics or forecasts you look at, they all say the same thing, business on the internet is booming!
Despite the threat of recession, online advertising, ecommerce and paid content revenues are predicted to rapidly grow every year for the foreseeable future.
And there's more good news for internet entrepreneurs.
The tools and applications that are essential for launching an online business are getting easier to use and less expensive to buy.
There has never been a better time to start an online business.
But despite all these positive trends, the success rate for internet businesses is still less than 10%.
Why is the Success Rate So Low?
In my experience of launching over 100 commercial websites for clients in the last 12 months, the sites that succeed are the ones run by people who have invested time in learning how to run a money making website.
This includes how to choose a subject and name, what design works best, what functionality must a new site have, what are the ways of generating an income from a popular site and how to drive traffic using the search engines.
There is quite a lot to learn and unfortunately there is a lot of misleading and irrelevant information available on the internet. It is very difficult for people starting out to separate the wheat from the chaff.
This was my motivation for creating a ten part video course which takes the viewer through all the important steps when launching an internet business from scratch.
The content for the course has come from 10 years of experience of working in the internet sector, most recently as the founder of SubHub (www.subhub.com) which is a company that specialises in helping people make money from their websites. The information in the course comes from watching what works and what doesn't work across dozens of websites.
