How to Stop Gas, Bloating, Discomfort, and Indigestion
74Gas and Indigestion: A Serious Problem
No cutesy jokes, or anecdotes with this one folks. Millions of people die from flatulence every year, and we should remember their sacrifice. It is my duty to these poor people to teach ya'll how to stop gas and indigestion.
You may think that farting is a natural fact of life, but this is a common fallacy. You do not have to suffer from gas, you do not have to suffer from indigestion. This is the 21st century, and the kind folks at the pharmeceutical companies have developed many quality products to fight gas and indigestion - and the symptoms that go along with it! So never fear, for after reading my advice there's a good chance you'll never face the horrors of bloating and the putrid smells of flatulence ever again.
Eating Right to Stop Gas and Indigestion
A proper diet is a key factor in stopping gas and indigestion. A man, let's call him Gassy Gregory, once thought that he could eat whatever he wanted without consequence. Well let's just say that Gassy Greg's diet of beans, broccoli, peanuts, and dairy did no favors in helping him earn friends!
If you are serious about stopping gas right in it's tracks, then you will need to make the following changes to your diet, boy!
- Chew your food and stay keep quiet while eating. Your saliva contains enzymes such as amylase which require time to digest the starch in your mouth. Allowing your mouth to do some of the work will assist your gastrointestinal system in it's job and improve digestion in general. This should help cut back on some of the gas produced. Say goodbye fart!
- Avoid trouble foods. Experience will tell you what foods your body has trouble digesting, and you should listen to it! Some common gassy foods are legumes (beans), stalk vegetables (broccoli), dair products (milk, yogurt, cheese), dried fruits (raisins), and others (cabbage!!).
- Drink green tea. Green tea is known to aid the digestion of food after meals, and can even increase ones metabolism! Gas free and thin?! Sign me up!
