On some occasions when a theft or fire occurs, some people may have no idea about what they have lost without the inventory of possessions. Thus, it is difficult to estimate the loss. Apparently, every insurance company requires a clear inventory of possessions before compensating for the loss. In this aspect, any of you have to learn more about how to take inventory of your possessions. The following steps may help you make a record of your possessions.

Step 1: Make a list of your possessions in your home
Perhaps some people may feel it especially difficult to make a record of possessions in their homes because of the huge varieties of items. Actually, it may take much of your time, but there are also doohickeys.

You probably can hardly know where to start your recording of possessions with such as huge number of items in your home. In this step, you may first of all classify the items such as furniture, household appliances, tools, electronic products, kitchen units, children’s toys, and so on.
