How to Use Thematic Design Elements on your Wedding Aisle Runner
56Including a Design Element in a Wedding Aisle Runner
How to Choose your Wedding Aisle Runner Design Elements
A wedding aisle runner can bring together design elements in a wedding ceremony and reception. Often the top designers for wedding cakes and general wedding decor will take details off of an item that the bride and groom as chosen and incorporate that throughout the wedding. For example, you may see a custom logo or graphic such as a couple's new monogram on their wedding invitation. This can be incorporated in all printed materials for pre-wedding celebrations such as bridal showers and engagement parties. It can be used on reception place cards, table number placards, menus, and thank you notes. Some inventive wedding cake bakeries will incorporate details from the wedding invitation, such as scroll work or initials onto the wedding cake itself.
Another way to incorporate details from an item like a wedding invitation is to use the same graphics and font on a custom printed wedding aisle runner. This unifies the theme in all the pre-wedding festivities and post-ceremony celebration at the wedding reception and includes it within the wedding ceremony. Usually, it has been a while since your guest received their wedding invitation, so often many of the details that might appear at the reception such as customized napkins or table placecards or menucards might be missed if it is not more obviously brought to their attention at the ceremony. A great way to do this is with a wedding aisle runner since it is likely the first thing a guest sees when they enter the ceremony site. Many wedding photos will contain the wedding aisle runner so a custom printed aisle runner will help include these design elements in your wedding photos.
