So you want to know a 'how to wake up early strategies' huh? Then I'll give them to you! Personally, I wake up late. And waking up is also a problem for me. Waking up late is already catching up with me and causing problems so I did some research which I will share with you. But before doing that, I will tell you about my sleeping patterns.

I have a daily job which requires me to work from 8am to 530pm. However, my company allows 'flexitime' meaning you can come in late but stay up late to cover for your lateness. This is a benefit to some including me but is becoming more of a burden. You see because of that benefit, I had the mentality that since I can go to office later than usual, I can stay up late at night. Thus, I normally sleep around midnight or even after.

Staying Up Late Is Waking Up Late

If you stay up late, you wake up late. Sounds like common sense right? It is indeed. How many times have you heard that we need around 6-8 hours of sleep? It is true. Our body needs that amount of time to recuperate and recharge ourselves for the next day. Thus here is strategy number 1:

Sleep [Target time of waking up] - 8 hours.

That means if you need to wake up at 6am, sleep 8 hours before that is 10pm the night before.

Ask Someone to Wake You Up

I am married and my wife wake up earlier than me. This is because she has work at 630am and I usually wake up after that time (which is what I am trying to avoid). So here is strategy number 2:

Ask someone to wake you up!

This does not necessarily mean someone sleeping beside you. It could be your mom, sis or anyone close to you who you won't hesitate to ask favors from hehe.

2 Clocks are Better than One

How many alarm clocks do you have? I have only and I guess that is the problem. Where do you put it? I put it on shelf above my bed. And that is another problem. So here is strategy number 3:

Have multiple alarm clocks and put it somewhere where you can't reach at once.

There is nothing like irritating to noise to wake you up in the morning. Multiple alarm clocks will make sure to wake you from your sleep while having it far away will make sure you stand up from your bed to stop the alarm clocks.

These are just 3 strategies but I will try them out and see. It looks sound and logical to me so I am pretty sure it will work. Hopefully for those reading this hub and have the same problem, you would try it out and hopes it works on you too.

If I discover more strategies, I will make a new hub for those and probably state some updates on my progress.
