Improve your memory

  • A good memory really helps us. There are many fun ways to sharpen, exercise and develop your memory, just as you develop your muscles! These are:
  • Every night before you fall asleep, try and recall all that you did and saw during the day. Try to remember the - names of all the people that you met during the day. Try to recall their addresses.
  • Improve your powers of observation. A great way to do this is in a shopping mall! Look at a store window for a while, now walk away, and write down (or at least recall) the names of as many objects as you can. This method is very convenient and effective for improving your powers of observation.
  • Develop the ability to concentrate. Make an effort to concentrate on your reading. Try to read as rapidly as possible. Choose a quiet environment to read where you are not distracted by noise or interruptions. Avoid fidgeting while reading. Light reading is fun, but reading of serious articles and books helps develop your power of concentration much more effectively.

Boost your Confidence

  • Self confidence is one commodity that puts you out there, turns the spotlight on you, and helps you astound the world with your presence. People brimming with self-esteem are the 'lucky' guys; but what about those people who still need to figure out a way to develop this wonderful skill.
  • You must understand that developing self-esteem is no mystical art. It is not something that has been programmed into your DNA by birth. Self-confidence can easily be cultivated, if you so desire and intend. The cool colleague you so admire at work has not necessarily inherited this trait. In all likelihood he had to work hard to overcome his shy demeanor, before becoming a self assured 'dude'.
  • Are you afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing and appearing awkward? Are you the type who hangs back from the rest of the crowd? If you are a shy person, you need to overcome that. You prevent people from seeing the 'real' you if you let shyness prevail. You need not dominate conversations and hog all the attention; all you need to do is 'speak up'. Show respect, empathy, and recognition to others. Come out of your shell and learn to be alert. Interact with people. Be open.

Learn better and faster

  • Discard all limiting beliefs about your capacity to learn. If you think that you are a slow learner then that will become your truth.
  • Relax so that the information is well absorbed. When we are relaxed we use our entire brain for learning, thus learning faster.
  • Create a mental map of what is to be learned. Mental mapping is a great learning tool.
  • Read your passages aloud in a dramatic tone. This not only makes learning fun, but helps you absorb material better.
  • Listen to some calming music. It works on certain brain areas that influence learning.
  • Make learning fun by making a game out of it. This re-activates your childlike ability to learn effortlessly.

Dream Big And Live Life Well

How to change thinking

Don't take failing personally
As I grow older, I have realized that when I was younger I took failure a lot more personally. All of my mistakes looked a lot bigger.over the years I have realized and learned that everything I do is not going to be successful.I do not beat up on myself anymore.Instead I tell myself to do better next time, and I now know what to do or not to do to protect myself from repeating silly mistake again and again.

Make failing a learning experience
Your willingness to learn from failure and the ability to overcome that obstacle are key components to our success in life.We need to develop the ability to learn from mistakes. The test of life are not to break you,but to make you. This is the key component that I hold in achieving success in my life. For me as long as I have this key component my life is going to be better.

Do not let failing keep you down
The people who are drowned is a people who keep staying in their place.Everyone gets knocked down in this life, but the ability to keep getting up that determines our success. When we do fall, learn what we can from our mistake or the experience and then get back on our feet and keep marching forward.

Keep our sense of humor
Laugh ourselves and the world. It is easy to laugh when we are having a good time and things going great. However it is important to laugh when things are going wrong too.Laughing relieve stress and keeps our mind open to any idea from people and easy to get a solutions of our problems,so try to laugh when you are down too.

Why do we fail?

There are three main reasons we fail:

1. Lack of motivation

2. No clear- cut goal

3. Pessimism

LACK OF MOTIVATION

Lack of motivation can be caused by different reasons. First and foremost is because the change we want to make is just to please someone else. When this is the case, we almost always fail unless we can find some reason to change that is for ourselves. I personally tried to quit smoking 4 times. Three of them were because someone else in my life wanted me to. I failed all 3 times.
The fourth time happened after I saw a man struggling to walk in the mall. He was pulling an oxygen tank on wheels beside him. His breathing came out in short ragged puffs as he breathed through a hose. This was a result of emphysema. Suddenly, I saw the results of his years of smoking. I was scared. This could be my life if I kept smoking. I now had real,
self-motivation
. Using hypnosis and Zyban, I designed a program to help me quit easily and with no side effects. Now, six years later, I've still had no desire for a cigarette.
If you need a personal motivator for some change you want to make, get some paper and sit down. Make a list of all the reasons you should change and all the reasons you should not change. What are the positive consequences that will result if you do change? What are the negative consequences that will result if you do change? What are the positive and negative consequences if you do not change?
Analyze your answers. Maybe you will find personal reasons and motivation to change. You may, however, decide that you really don't want to change. If that's the case, fine. Move on to another area of your life.

NO CLEAR-CUT GOAL

If you do find the right motivation, you need to look at the next reason people fail at change, which is having no clear-cut goals. Some goals are easy because they involve yes or no. Smoke or don't smoke. Drink or don't drink. Most goals are not that clear-cut. Success depends on you having clear, concise, and specific goals. Losing weight is not a goal. I will lose 10 pounds by Halloween is a clear, concise goal. I will make more money is not a specific goal. I will earn $10,000 more this year than last year is a clear goal. Even quitting smoking can be made more precise by including the date you will quit.
To make a goal work for you, you should write it down in the form of a contract with yourself. Research shows that written contracts carry more power than verbal promises. In the contract, specify what you will accomplish by what date and what will be your positive consequences for completing your contract.
Next, focus on your goal as if it were already accomplished. See, visualize, and focus all your attention on your goal already having been accomplished. Allow yourself to be filled with the pride of accomplishment. This positive energy will help keep you motivated as you work toward your goal.

PESSIMISM

The third factor that could derail you from reaching your goal is having
pessimistic
and negative thoughts about yourself. Having doubts about yourself and your ability to reach your goal is often due to previous failures as well as a pessimistic personality style. Years of research on optimism and pessimism show that pessimism interferes with productivity and the completion of goals. Optimism will aid in reaching your goals. Research also demonstrates that optimism and positive self -thoughts and feelings can be learned.
