SHOPPERS BARGAINING TOOLS

  • The problem with most shoppers have with bargaining is feeling that good people don't do it. Before you can negotiate, you most get over this attitude. (Tool: #1)-Bargaining will not turn you into a social outcast, All shopkeepers sees when you walk threw the door is a $$'s sign. If your are willing to buy, Then he or she will probably be willing to make a deal. (Tool: #2)-Bargaining is a negotiation that has been for many years. You are not trying to cheat the store or get something for free. You are trying to get reasonable price for what you want. If your willing to negotiate for a boat or a car or anything else,- Why not for a ring or a pair of pants? (Tool: #3)- You have the rights to bargain and make deals, in small stores that don't discount. Department stores, which won't bargain as a rule, mark up prices 100%-120% to cover high cost. Small stores charge lower prices because their costs are less.(Next- savvy approach.)- (Hint#1)-Set a price limit for a particular item before you approach the salesperson.(Hint#2)-Be prepared to leave the store if he or she doesn't meet your limit.(you can always come back later.)-(Hint#3)-Make the saleperson believe you really won't buy unless they comes down with the price. (Hint#4)-Don't be loud in your negotiations. If other customers can hear you, the shopkeeper will stay firm.(Hint#5)-Be respectful of the goods. Don't manhandle the goods that you inspect. (Hint#6)-Address the salesperson polite, and friendly show some manner. Assume that salesperson wants to do his or her best for you because he or she is such a nice person,.(Hint#7)-Shop early or late hours.you'll have more luck if business is slow. (Hint#8)-Look for unmarked good. If there is no price tag,you are invited to bargain.Don't remove the tag please!-(Apply Tactics works)- (Tactic#1)-Start with cash.In a store that takes credit cards, request a discount for paying in cash.(Charging overhead costs that the store must absorb). (Tactic#2)-Buy in quantity.A customer who is committed to buy quantity has more bargaining power. When everything is picked out, go up to the owner and suggest a total price about 10% to 15% less than the total amount. (Tactic#3)- If you are buying more item, offer to pay full price on the first one-maybe the owner will give you a break on the other items,if not you know what to do-Bluff. Or,ask to have an extra item thrown in for less.(Tactic#4)- Look for damage merchandise. This is the only acceptable bargaining point in the department store, but it also can save you money in the long run. If there's a spot, a split seam or a missing button, estimate what it may cost to fix commercially, and ask for a discount based on that figure.(Tactic#5)- Adapt your haggling to the realities of the situation. A true discount store has a low profit margin and depends on stock to make its money.Don't ask for more than 5% off in such a store. A boutique that charges what the traffic will bear has more leeway. Start by asking for 25% off, and start from there. (Tactic#6)- Buy at the end of the season, when new stock is being put out.Offer to buy unsold good-at a discount. (Tactic#7)-Neighborhood stores: push the local television or appliance dealer to give you a break so you can stay in your community. Well i just hope you apply what you have learned and i wish you a happy hunting..
