Before knowing how to bell the CAT, you should know what is CAT.

  • For your information, CAT is a common admission test, which is also known as combined aptitude test, which is again the most commonly used term used in an MBA (Master of Business Administration) entrance exam.

What should be my plan and then target after each month(as in should my course be completed till August and then I should start with revision?

It would be purely based on your constraint and your requirement. If you are at 50 miles now and need to go until 100 miles, then plan would be different from the case if you were at 20 miles now. So after requirement gathering exercise, make a plan based on time you can spare for preparation and how much you need to get done!!

Which newspapers and magazines should I follow in order prepare for this MBA entrance exam?

Answer: Any daily newspaper or business newspaper would work ( pick whichever you can get and you like), same goes for a business magazine too!

Have you got your bell ready for the CAT

What should be your daily routine while preparing for CAT (as in time division on various areas)?

It would be a result of your requirement that you need to find out from the following points in this requirement gathering exercise:

1) Try one to two Mock CAT papers which would tell you which areas you are good at and which areas you are not.

2) Find about the coaching material. Study material of different institutes is good for different sections so pick the material accordingly.

3) Based on your understanding of self, you need to see if you need external help like classroom coaching or joining only a test series would do.

4) While you pick up an institute for classroom coaching, you should also find out about the faculty as that does matter very much and is another key issue.
