How to check and increase mileage of your car?

As you know, mileage is a prominent aspect when using any automobile, so you must know how to check your car for mileage and how to increase it, as increasing the mileage will save you money.

1. Get a full tank done from a petrol/diesel bunk you trust.

2. Ask the petrol bunk attendant to stop when the automatic fuel system stops the supply of fuel and note the odometer reading of your car.

3. Drive until your car needs the next fuel recharge.

4. When the next fuel recharge is due, again fill up at the same petrol/diesel bunk and ask the attendant again to stop at the automatic fuel stop.

5. Now, note down the new odometer reading.

6. Minus the new reading with the old reading and divide that with the liters of fuel that went inside your car tank.

7. Here is how you will get the true mileage of your car.

Now, after getting the correct mileage of your car, if you find out that mileage is low, then you must be thinking how to increase the mileage of your car?

So here are some steps to do that:

1. Get the service of your car done at the time when it is due or at regular intervals. Your car mechanic will also do tuning of the car engine, which enhances mileage of the car.

2. Use premium or Speed petrol for your car, as it improves the mileage of your car.

3. If you use unleaded petrol for your car, then get a good brand and quality engine fluid and mix 30 ml of it in your fuel tank whenever you refill the tank.

4. While driving, use the clutch and gears according to the speed of the car.

5. Avoid braking whenever and wherever possible, as accelerating after braking consumes more fuel. If you drive at a constant speed, this will not occur.

6. Avoid using the air-conditioner in walled cities or when the speed is too low as turning on the air-conditioner at low speed consumes more fuel and puts more pressure on your car's engine.

7. Get your tires' pressure checked routinely, as properly inflated tires decrease fuel consumption up to 3 to 4 percent.

8. Now what else, you will get a smoother drive and instant pickup and engine noise will be reduced.

At last, please avoid extra or useless weight in your car if you are planning for a long trip. Remove that extra baggage or luggage and enjoy the smooth drive.
