The holidays are rapidly approaching. Before you know it, friends and family from the frigid north will be clamoring down to our sunny shore to spend quality time celebrating with us.
Baby strollers are one way to take your baby out with you. You will find a lot of strollers in the market. They come in different colors, weights, and sizes that you would probably have a hard time choosing one. Here are some tips on how to choose a good baby stroller for you that would provide the baby comfort and the easiness for you to use it.
Convenience is the first thing that you should look for when you are shopping for strollers. You do not want something that would take a long time setting up for you and the baby to be ready to go and would take another long time to set them aside after use.
The age of your baby is one thing that you should take into consideration. Babies that are less than six months old have not mastered their head and neck control yet so for this age, you should get a stroller that can attach themselves to infant seats. If the baby is above six months then they can start using the upright stroller already.
You should also get a stroller that is easy to push around and runs smoothly. Taking a walk would be more enjoyable for you as well if the stroller would work smoothly. Choose a stroller with large wheels so that it can be used even if the ground is uneven. Get ones that use real rubber tires so that you will have better handling and control.
The weight of the stroller is something to think of too. Take in mind that you will be carrying the stroller in and out of your car, up the stairs, or while you are storing them in a closet. Usually the lighter the stroller, the lesser features it has. The ideal weight for a stroller is 20 pounds.
One interesting feature that you can now see in modern strollers is the reverse handle and seat. This makes it possible for you to push the stroller while the baby is facing you. This would help you keep a more watchful eye on your baby as well.
For your baby’s safety, make sure that the stroller has an adjustable harness made out of good quality. Get a stroller that has solid breaks for safety measures. For easier access, get strollers that have foot brakes so that the break would apply with just one step.
