Lemon Juice

Salt

Cleaning stained Plastic and Tupperware

As we all know plastic and Tupperware dishes are very easily stained, tomato juice, soup, orange juice, and blackcurrant juice are the worst offenders leaving discoloration to the surface and making your dishes look old and worn before their time.

No matter how often you wash them the fading and food stains are always left behind and nothing you do seems to do the trick, you cant even use a scourer or a cream clenser because they will scratch the plastic, before you know it your Tupperware or plastic dishes are being thrown out in the trash.

There is a solution though and it is so simple that you will wonder why you never thought about it before, a squirt of lemon juice to warm water and a clean cloth is all you need, the acid in the lemon juice will break down food and drink stains easily, but for more stubbourn stains you can use a damp cloth with a little salt, the salt acts as a scourer without scratching the surface.

next time you get stains on your tupperware or plastic dishes give it a go, it works every time.

Good advice. Tomato sauce & carrot soup are the worst offenders for my tupperware.
