Relationship Healing is Different for Women than Men

Women Cleanse Themselves of Past Relationships

Women who do move on seem to cleanse themselves more effectively than women who do not go through the process. Women who remain bitter, introverted, etc, have not solved the issue within themselves through expressions of sorrow, anger, confession to friends, etc. Women are not very good at just forgetting and moving on like men can seemingly do.

Women are better at relying on the group to heal the past. Those women who do not rely on the group have a much more difficult time of healing. It is just common sense to use your network of friends to recover from the pain of past loves.

If the relationship was ended by your male relationship's betrayal the pain is the deepest due to betrayal. These relationships are difficult to overcome and may need professional assistence or at least a close and strong group of friends to assist you.

Men Just Bounce to Another Relationship

Men, who often do not look into the complexity of their feelings often simply bounce from a hurt to another relationship. The Beach Boy's lyric, Help me get her out of my heart is indeed the male approach to healing most relationships. The testosterone is working and the male does not deal with the feelings.

It is my view from personal experience, that me pay a price later in life. They ponder the past and the regrets hit them in the face. Julio Iglesias and Willie Nelson sing about all the girls they loved before. If they were over it they would have moved on, but now they are older and they are paying for their failures to continue relationships. They have regrets, clearly.

So then, men often even bow out of relationships and then pay many years later with emotional baggage still impacting them. Women can't understand this process but most men can. Women cannot be happy with this process because through it they have serious lost loves that they have had to mourn over.

The blockbuster novel is making a big comeback. Clearly, there's a new market now for one-word titles summoning up a world of glitz, passion and betrayal – always there is betrayal. These 21st-century takes on the Jackie Collins style of fiction are of course easy to ridicule. Much more interesting though is why they are coming back into fashion when, till recently, the form seemed all but dead.
