Identify what triggers your anger or annoyances, then once you do that you can work on some methods to help you "think" about the situation before you lose control.

Anger is a human emotion that is necessary for survival. It's not bad to feel angry, but it can be bad in the way you express your anger.

You have to go to anger management classes sad to say and you might need some counciling too. There is prob an underlying reason to why you act the way you do. Just step aside and take a breath walk around for a bit till you calm down then come back. Anger is not a pretty sight at all.

just count 1 to 10 very very slowly when u get anger. close ur eyes while doing this u will definetly feel relaxed and it calms down ur anger

Make a pact to never raise your voices with one another. Physical violence is neer an option either. If one breaks the pact then the argument is over until it can be continued again later.

Go for a run/walk outside. To calm down, practice yoga and meditation. Don't break stuff at your house, you only need to tidy up afterwards and that's so annoying, you may get angry again. And it's expensive to replace your windows every time this happens.

The fact is there is a single source of all your problems, stress, unhappiness and self doubt. It's called The Reactive Mind... the hidden part of your mind that stores all painful experiences, then later uses them against you.

It is not necessary to live with insecurity , negative thoughts, depression and irrational behavior. There is a solution. Dianetics gets rid of the Reactive Mind. If you read the book" Dianetics The Modern Science of Mental Health". It explains the real reason for negative emotions, irrational responses and unhappy relationships. Also what is destroying your belief in yourself and how to get rid of it and become more You.

Helpful ideas for changing angry behaviours can be:

Use a quick relaxation and/or breathing exercise.

Timing - if you tend to get angry at certain times when you talk to someone eg at night, try and talk to them calmly at different times of the day.

If particular things make you angry - it may be you can avoid them. For example, don't travel to the shops when you know you'll get stuck in traffic for ages. If you hate to sit in when your partner watches sport, plan something else at that time. If you hate his friend don't be around when the friend is there.

Count to ten before responding.

Go for a quick walk.

Ask yourself at the time why is this making me angry?

Ask yourself at this time, is this worth getting angry about?

Use calming self statements in your head, eg "calm down", "getting mad won't help", "just forget it".

Communication

Slow down and listen to the other person - don't rush in and say the first thing that comes to mind.

Don't jump to conclusions about what the other person is saying or thinking. Ask them to tell you more about what they are trying to say. Don't try to mind read.

If someone is sounding defensive or critical, don't immediately fight back. Try and understand the feelings behind what is being said. It may be that the person feels afraid, hurt or unloved. If you can keep calm and try and find out more about how the other is feeling then a row or fight can be avoided.

Try and express or talk about what your feelings really are, rather than going into angry words. Most often what is behind anger is fear, hurt or frustration. Of course you need to try and be clear in your own mind first why you feel angry.

If you try to practice a number of these techniques, you probably won't need an anger management class :)
