How to cook basmati rice

Answer to the request.

It is relatively simple if you have a microwave.

Place the rice in a rice cooker or any microwave safe pot with a vented lid.

Add water at a ratio of 2 to 1 to the rice.

Cook on high for 12 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes fluff with a fork and serve.

Add salt or flavorings as desired.

According to Hub Pages this hub is substandard, but it receives more visits than all my other hubs. This was my first attempt at a hub and I answered a very simple request. How to cook basmati rice is very simple. Now if the request would have asked for basmati rice recipe suggestions I probably would not have answered the request.

It can. We use a 2 quart rice cooker and cook 2-3 cups (uncooked) and it doesn't boil over.
