How to cook basmati rice

Simple method for Cooking

Take a 250 ml of Basmati rice by volume in a cooker vessel. Add 500 ml of water.

Keep the rice with water in the cooker.

If you use a steam pressure cooker, allow for 3 whistles after placing Cooker Weight on steam nozzle. You have to place the weight after the cooker starts steaming.

Take extra care while using steam pressure cooker!!!!

If you use ELECTRIC RICE COOKER, keep the vessel with rice and water and switch on power. Once a while, stir rice with wooden spoon. This will prevent over cooking of rice at the bottom of the vessel.

You can smell BASMATI fragrance, issuing out after 12/15 minutes or so depending on the quality of the rice you use!!!

Electric rice cooker goes to WARM mode, once rice is cooked automatically.

In case of pressure cooker, you put off gas burner and wait for 5 minutes before you try to dislodge the weight on steam nozzle.

Basmati rice is ready!!!!!
