Drawing Your Thing

Drawing is an online revelation, especially as you can share what you love to draw more easily online than you can offline, Why do you draw what you do?

If it interests you then concentrate more on it, immerse yourself in what you like to draw and don't be forced into drawing other things that simple aren't you, when I was at college this was a drain on myself as I was expected to try and draw other stuff to which I was not accustomed to, while there is many benefits to drawing other stuff as it builds your learning, I believed it interfered with my own ideas and concepts I wanted build upon.

And so I left college with no real ambition and inspired motivation as colleges are mainly social places they don't really convey the right atmosphere at times for which to cultivate ones own sense of self, rather follow the heard or not at all.

I quickly realised that if I drew other things that took me away from what I liked to draw then my art would become diluted and maybe lost forever, so I dug in and practiced drawing in my usual comic book style that has stuck for at least 10 years now.

The best way is to continue your own way of drawing but take on board other peoples critiques about your work, take on other peoples advice, but still draw what you want to draw, because to follow others is great, but to go your own path is even greater, this builds confidence by doing certain artistic processes yourself.

I would love to be able to draw clouds.

But, I can't seem to draw at all.

Any hints.

That can be a problem for many artists who have the piece of paper that is blank in front of them, just draw whatever you like to draw and build up variations of your most popular stuff to draw.

Maybe write lists of words that really serve as good reminders and a list of stuff you could potentially draw later on, I do this alot when I get stuck for things to draw and it works every time!!
