Well, at least setting everything up is easy - what's hard is getting people to see your Blog.

You can put ads on for starters.

Sign up for Google Adsense, and as an affiliate for Amazon and eBay; then you can put ad blocks for each onto your blog. You could also add Commission Junction as they do all sorts of affiliate programs you can join.

If you have your own products, ie information ebooks, then you can post about those and show a link for people to go an buy it. Affiliate marketing is another means of selling other people's products - but it's not something I can write about fully in here.

Once you've set your Blog up, then you need to get people over to see it - check out my AcmeWeblog for ideas there. Lately I've been using Twitter a lot and I tell how many people are reacting to my tweets by cloaking the URL using cli.gs or budurl.com (although I am setting up my own tracking system in the next day or two).

You might also try getting traffic to your blog via Traffic Exchanges - but be sure to only use a splash or opt-in page, not the URL of the blog itself which will be too much to load and read in the allotted time.
