How to find joint venture partners

Joint ventures are very common in the internet marketing industry. They are a great way to promote and cross-promote all kinds of products and services, from simple ebooks to advanced software and membership sites. If you decide to promote your products or services with the help of joint venture partners, it is essential that you spend some time trying to find who would be the best for the job. Finding good joint venture (jv) partners is not as easy as you may think. These partners can have a great impact on the success of your products or services, so you need to select them carefully before you even think about contacting them.

Good joint venture partners are those who will promote your products or services the best possible way. If you're after a long-term partnership (and really, you should), you've got to find the best marketers you can. Some promoters are just so good at what they do, you've got to get them promote your own stuff! Some of them can multiply your sales in a matter of days!

6 ways to find good joint venture partners:

- Through your existing contacts: unless you're totally new to the industry, you certainly got in touch with fellow marketers in the past. It is time to decide if they would be good partners or not and maybe contact them. If you don't know anybody yet, try the next method.

- On the Warrior Forum: This forum is the best internet marketing forum. You will be able to find lots of top marketers who may be keen to enter a partnership with you. Try the 'Warrior Joint Venture' section.

- On Google (of course): Try to find products or services that would fit with yours, and contact their creator(s). You won't get them to promote your stuff if you don't try, so just give it a chance! The more complementary the products or services will be, the better chance you will have to boost your sales!

- Through referral contests: There are lots of membership websites that organize referral contests. You should take a look at the ladder and see who's the best at promoting the products or services. There's a good chance that they put some decent efforts for your stuff too.

- On directories and networks: Search for directories and networks that allow you to submit a joint venture offer or simply get in touch with potential joint venture partners. There are some great resources on the web that are not to be missed.

- Through social networks: You may contact your potential joint venture partners by mail or email, but social networks are a really cool way to get in touch with them. Other people will learn about you and your offer, so it can be very rewarding to use this type of medium.

Good luck in your search! If you think of other methods, feel free to comment! I would love to hear from you.

Thanks John. Social networks can indeed be pretty useful when it comes to searching for joint venture partners, but I like to work with my existing contacts. I can get in touch with them very easily and I know what they're able to do. However, if you're totally new to the industry it's a little more difficult...

The Warrior Forum is probably the best internet marketing forum you will ever find. There're lots of potentially good joint venture partners on there.

That's right, you can find lots of good internet marketers on this forum. You can also search for products that complement your own product and try to contact their owners.

I like the idea of referral contests. It's a good tip to find out who's good at promoting what, but then you still need to convince the people to promote your own product or service.
