First I want you to have an open mind about what the internet means to you, it is an informational resource and can benefit you in many ways, but in other ways it can prevent you from finding the right information you need, as there is lots of it online.

First and foremost spamming is considered bad, but did you know you can spam the search engines with keyword phrases instead of url links, so that you can gain some form of top search engine ranking without being labelled as a spam monkey, all you do is link to relevant content, preferrably your own original works of wordsmith efforts and deeplink within other relevant content that can bridge the gap and maybe add further details.

When you have some great website content uploaded to your site, then you need to get it submitted to the main search engines first, Google, Yahoo And MSN, this takes afew weeks to get indexed on their search engines, but once they are there and even before they are indexed, you should be building your backlinks by whatever means you can, long tail keyword phrases are the best way of retaining and receiving long term traffic, as most people online search with long tail keywords when they type them in the search box.

Fooling the search engines with article spinning software is fast becoming redundant as search engines are constantly changing their algorythms so as to deter lazy people who want to find easy short cuts to avoiding duplicate content problems.

Instead it's worth writing up two or three versions of seperate articles and distributing them all over the web in different places, for example if you had your own blog you'd post one version there, then another altered version in a few article directories and a more detailed one on your main website, this obviously takes more time on your part, but it really pays off and eleiminates duplicate content, plus if you post youe detailed version of your article content on your website first, then that is classed as exclusive content, that you can claim as your very own, which it is anyway, but to be sure you can take out a creative commons license on all content you create, but be sure to add dates and a full copyright notice with the year also, as this puts the stamp on your content.

Perhaps the best strategy is a long term one with alot of planning, but this would mean no traffic generation overnight, so therefore an adwords campaign is in order, but in this lies some keyword research that must be done or you will pay a small fortune for clicks on your ads that may not convert into sales.

Adwords is the opposite end of adsense where instead you pay per click on your created ad and you can start receiving traffic within about 10 to 15 minutes.

Concentrating on other methods all at the same time will help you build your traffic to a more quality level, of course you will find one strategy that you will excel in and be a true expert in, and you could place all the other traffic methods around your main one.
