Frequently Asked Questions

Is the wave cap and the pomade the most important step in developing waves?

NO... This simply help to hold waves in place while your sleep or going about your day. The most important step that is brushing... Brushing is the golden key. The more you brush the better waves you will be.

How much do I have to brush?

As much as possible when starting... But once the wave patterns starts to develops, less time is needed.

Soft Brush or hard brush?

The matter doesn't rely on one or the other... You will need a combination of both. The hard brush helps lays the hair down while the soft brush gently connects the waves pattern to give it the 360 look.

Can I cut my hair?

Yes... But if your new, you should only cut it with a two guard otherwise you will probably lose the pattern. Once you control them, you can cut lower but not smaller than a one or 1/8 guard...

Will my waves look like the next persons?

Never... Our hair a not evenly textured throughout our own hair, and depending on genetics the time and the deepness of the waves will differ.

What is Needed?

Brush

Wave cap- to protect wave pattern while your sleeping or just to hold waves down

Pomade- helps hold down hair (especially if it is long).

Hair lotion- to soften hair to control it easier

Time- at least 1 to 1 1/2 hours of brushing

Steps

Build your own program that you can maintain... This is the best way to go about controlling your waves...

Use pomade 3-5 times a week depending on the length of your hair...

Use hair lotion whenever you get a chance to brush your hair for several minutes...

Ues the wave cap after the pomade is laid on and before you goto sleep...

AND... Remember to BRUSH

This is how I do

I have created a program for myself and follow these same steps... I had little problems with controlling my waves, now I trying to add more definition and evenness to them

this is what i do...only recommended to those who have waves but want it more defined and those who have very rough hair:

use a lil grease like vaseline or aquaphor brush hair for about 5 mins then put in some olive cream brush it in then durag it.

do this everyday and youll notice your hair will be softer and more manageable.
