Tips on Getting Popular on Social Networks

Get Diggs and Comments

It is not easy to get diggs and comments on your digg submissions. Even having interesting content and an eye grabbing title do not always do the trick on Digg or any other social network.

Having a large group of active friends who support your work is generally worth some diggs and comments, but it is still no guarantee to keep your submission popular. I spend an awful lot of time reading and digging, shouting, voting and commenting the articles submitted by those on my friends lists but getting consistent feedback in return does not always happen.

However, that has all changed now. I have joined a favorites exchange where I read and vote on the stories listed in my que and in return other like minded people out there do the same for me. It works with Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon,Delicious, technorati, propeller, mixx, ebaumsworld, metacafe, and other social networks.

I find that I actually read a lot more good articles, and write better comments here, because the people really appreciate it and reciprocate. I really love to Stumble on the site because I'm getting great random sites to explore and I know my StumbleUpon submissions are being voted on and reviewed.

If you continue to submit good content to these social booking sites you will see your diggs, votes, and comments reach into the hundreds in no time. Reaching the front page in non news categories will be quickly within your reach. I wanted to point out that news and other very dynamic categories do not respond well to stories that take a week or two to become popular. By this time, the news is old. However, getting to the front page on other topics is quite simple with just a little work on the favs exchange.
