Almost all of the "GURUS" treat backlinks, traffic, sales, blogs, and SEO as separate entities, but when you get right down to it they are all part of the mix to being a successful marketer. So I am going to this space to talk about all of those things and then some.

Why are we into internet marketing? To make sales. Make a bunch of money so that we can sit around a pool or a nice sandy beach, surrounded by a bunch of nice babes/guys, or whatever. Or maybe it is just something a bit more simple like getting our children through college.

Well whatever the reason, we need sales. One of the ways to get sales on the net is to have good copy. No matter how much traffic you get to your site if the copy does not convert, whatdoya got?

Now adays seems like everyone is pressed for time, so more and more when a person is looking for something on the net they will use one of the search engines to find what they want. Hardy anyone goes past the third page of results for their search query. Most will not go past the first page. So if you want some good targeted organic traffic it will be in your best interest to be on the first page for your keywords.

One of the best ways to get backlinks to your blog is to find other blogs that have the "do-follow" plug-in and are relavant to what you are blogging about. Once you have done that all you need to do is leave a non-spammy comment and BAM! you got a backlink.
