How to get rid of parents in law
60One word: Arsenic.
I'm just kidding. Really, there's no way for you to "get rid of" your parents-in-law--they're sort of a necessary evil that comes with the territory. I'm fortunate enough to love my fiance's family, although the last guy I dated...well, they were religious zealots, and it was not a good time.
How much time have you spent with them? I'm just curious. What does your hubby say? If your main issue is that they're disrespectful to you and your marriage and your spouse does nothing to combat their behavior, you've got a bigger problem on your hands than just annoying in-laws.
The best thing you can do is try to get to know them. Who knows? You might actually start to understand--or, GASP--like them. Short of that, the only thing you can do is grin and bear it.
Or buy them a home in Tibet.

My mother found a way to get around the in-law issue: she asks men on their first date whether his parents are still living. If the answer is yes, she doesn't see him again. She is now married, and blissfully has no in-laws. I would love to have in-laws because it would mean grandparents for my children, but my mother-in-law lives in central Mexico.
