Hello! My name is Chris and I'm going to show you how to get started with affiliate marketing. I had recently been spending around sixty hours a week reading about all the hype out there about making $50,000 dollars over night. I fell for these scams and lost a lot of money in the process. There were only a few that was absolutely worth the money. I learned a thing or two from this experience. Well do yourself a favor and save your money. You can't possibly get rich over night.

    Alright, I just told you to save your money so that I can give you some free information about affiliate marketing. It is currently 11:00 were I'm at right now. Don't worry, I going to keep it short and to the point. I will come back and forth to refresh the content. Just get the RSS so that you will be alerted and not have to come back to the site for no reason. I will also give you the resources where I got the information.

    So, what is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is when you go to promote another person product for a commission. I seen commission as high as 75%. The website that I go to and recommend you go to as well is Clickbank and PayDotCom. The websites that I just listed is a one stop where you can find thousands of merchant that is ready to to pay you when you sell a product. You can also look down on the bottom of the page and find a affiliate link that you can click on. Each page is different but is self explanatory. Follow the direction and it should give you a unique id so that when you send somebody to the site, it will let your merchant know that it is a customer from you and when the person makes a purchase, also known as a conversion, you get commissioned.

    Since now you have a product, you are now ready to build a site. I personally use Dream weaver which is a very good software for building site which is very expensive. Dream weaver also take some time to learn. I also use Site Rubix and NVU which is very easy to use. I first started out with NVU and was able to create a website in minutes. The best thing about it all is that Site Rubix and NVU is free to use. I was using SmartFTP to upload the site. The FTP used to be free but it is now a charge for the membership. Also, uploading the site was pretty hard. I had to get some phone support to help me out.

    The FTP that I used, again was SmartFTP and it pretty good. I have not used the software in a while. I recommend that you just Google a FTP. You can Google almost anything these days. If you wondering what I'm using, it is a FTP account that come with Dream weaver. But it is very expensive so shoot for the cheaper ones.

   Now you have a website building software so that you can starting building a website. I'm not going to show you how to build a website. My job for the day is to just go over the basics with you. After you complete your website, you now need a hosting account. The ones that I recommend is Host gator and Host nine. Both of them is cheap and have some very cool features. You can visit my resources to look at these sites. Both these are very cheap to used as well. Follow the instructions or call customer service to get help with hosting. I'm not going much in detail today but you are more than welcome to visit the site.

   Now, you are ready for some traffic. You can get the free traffic by doing web 2.0, writing blogs, writing on ezine articles, and more. You can also get traffic the paid way with Google Ad words, Yahoo, MSN, banner ads, solo ezine, and more. If you low on budget, use THE FREE VERSION. If you have the money get THE PAID VERSION because it will save you the most time.
