How to get the best price for your car when you trade it in at a car dealership?

You will NOT get a good deal trading your car in. It is merely a convienience that you will pay greatly for.

They will act like they are giving you a good deal on your trade, but they already know what they are going to list it for on the used lot. We were offered $750 for our last car on trade. It had high mileage and I was gonna sell it to a coworker for about the same, so we just let the dealer have it for that. A week later it was online at $3600. This car needed nothing but new shocks. Pretty expensive shocks if you ask me!
