How to get your toddler to eat veggies, part II
54Tricks found in the supermarket aisle
When your child begins to move away from the pureed style of food, he or she will want more table food. Chances are, it's not got the same nutrients the baby food had in it.
And if your toddler turns his or her nose up at vegetables, you have yet another problem. You may have tried recipes that sneak veggies into the growing child's diet. Even if they worked, perhaps you're looking for something easier, faster. The answer is right in your supermarket aisle. Here are just a few tips:
1. Does junior like ravioli? Buy the kind made out of spinach ravioli, or stuffed with asparagus.
2. Real vegetable crackers are an easy on-the-go snack.
3. Try veggie burgers loaded with, what else? Vegetables!
4. Add leftover vegetables from your dinner table to similar colored favorites of your toddler's (ie. corn goes well into macaroni and cheese).
5. And while it's not an ideal source of nutrients, corn dogs made with real cornmeal have a tad bit of nutrition. And what child doesn't like a hot dog?
