Getting a free website is not all that difficult. I have one on www.freewebs.com. I did not have to pay a thing. There are optional additions that you can make to your site that cost money, but you will find that you can have a perfectly good site site without paying a dime. Check out mine. www.aretharenia.webs It was free. There is even music. I chose all the pages that I wanted to add, and what was on them. (Well, my 13 year old did most of it, but you get my meaning.)

I thought that the task would have been more difficult, but after my daughter set up the basics, she taught me how to add and update things at my own discretion. There was nothing to it!

I am sure that there are other sites available that offer free sites, but this one I am aware of because I was given this address by the publishing company that I am affiliated with. Just be sure that when you search for offers of free web sites that you pay close attention to the amount of addages that you are allowed to have before you have to pay a fee.

If you are looking for something on a smaller scale, you may just want to publish your own myspace page. Just go to www.myspace.com and set up a user profile. You would not believe the amount of traffic that this site gets. I have a page there, too. If you are an author, check the message board on your publisher's website, Many publishers offer free sites to their authors to aide them in promoting their work.

Check them out. You might just find what you are looking for there. If not, try a google search. Be sure to type "free websites" and look for the words "100% free" in the caption. I found that many sites that say they are free are only saying that it is free to join. That means that it costs money to do anything else. You could end up paying hundreds of dollars for something that is offered free somewhere else.
