Growing Curled and Italian Parsley in pots or containers.

Hi Gardening Friends

Here is some information that you can use to grow fresh parsley this summer on your patio. First you have to figure out which one of the parsley's do you

want to grow? Curled or Italian parsley or growing both? If you want parsley you can grow it from seed. To get Parsley to grow in pots outdoors you have

to start the seeds about six to eight weeks before you plant your parsley seedlings outdoors in your containers. What you need to start the parsley

seeds are a clean sterilized flat to start the seeds. Also you need a germinating mix to sow the seeds in. Now take the flat and fill it half full

with the germination mix and then soak the flat with water and let it drain

completely then sow your parsley seeds but don't cover the seed.

takes about 10 to 14 days to germinate. Then transplanted the parsley seedlings in packs. After a few weeks then you can plant then into the pots that you want to grow them on your patio or any were outdoors. After you plant your pots or containers you should water them thoughtly and set the pots in the shade outdoors until the plants become establish.

You can also go to your local garden center and buy your parsley plants

already grown in packs. Try to shop and buy from the local garden center not the big box stores. And you can plant them in your pots.

About every other week you can take and fertilize the parsley plants.

And you can harvest leaves off of the plants when you need them.

They will keep on growing and you can havest leaves off of them

the entire growing season. I hope this information help you to be successful

with growing parsley for you to use in the kitchen of your home.

Sincerely
