Dreaming is our subconscious mind trying to communicate the the conscious mind. Each aspect of a dream and every symbol and color has it's own meaning. Each object has a meaning, along with certain motions.

Say for instance, you're walking down a hallway and there are a few doors. All of those doors are closed except one and you want to walk through it but you can't or something tells you that you shouldn't. You become reluctant to walk through it. Even if you have a feeling that you should, you decide not to.

In reality it means, there is a door open in your life, and you want to go through it, but think better of it because you're reluctant to actually take the next step to it.

If you're a traveler in the dream, then the question you need to ask is this: "Was I driving or someone else driving?"

This symbol in a dream means this:

If you're driving, you're in control of your life and circumstances. If someone else is driving, then you've let them take control of what the matter is in life that you didn't want control over. Or someone is controlling you.

If the motion is you're going down a hill or down in general, then there will be a small period of your life, soon to come that will go downward a little and experience a hardship or hardfall in the near future. If you dream of going in an upward motion, then there will be a period soon to come that you will have an uplifting part of your life. There will be good times to come!

This reference came from a dream dictionary that I had a long time ago. You can purchase these in book stores or online. They make great for translating dreams. "Joseph the Kind of Dreams" also used symbols to translate dreams too! It's been long ongoing for years! Many people translate dreams or know how to translate them.
